A boy and a Girl

Its a GIRL.....no, not my baby. Aidens cousin will be a GIRL. Jose and Angelica had their ultrasound today and they are expecting a little girl. Can't wait to see them both grow up together.

I am having pregnancy brain/hormones today. First off, I put one style shoe on one foot and a different style on the other. They are both black so I can see how I made the oops. Plus it is dark when I get up in the morning. Luckly I had some gym shoes in the car and my work place is very casual. That was very funny at first, but then the raging hormones kicked in and I could not shake it. I snapped at anoyone who came in contact with me. I had a constant crease in my forhead from being in a plain bad mood. I'm aware of my mood and Aiden starts kicking up a storm. Maybe he is trying to tell me somthing.

This is the baby we've wanted for so long. I was meant to be a mom to a little boy. After the ultrasound, Mike and I went to baby gap and bought a little outfit for the baby. I did look longly at the little girls clothes that are so much cuter. There was a half a second of sadness at not picking out girl clothes and of all the boy things I will have to get into....like football and teaching a little person to be strong and tough instead of cute and pleasing. It is silly to think that now when later on in life my little boy may not even like rough sports.

What really helped me was that Mike and I decided on a name. It makes it more realistic to refer to him as Aiden Michael. I spent all weekend calling him Aiden and saying things like Aiden is kicking me right now or what do you think of these colors for Aidens room. Its exiting to imagine Aiden running around our house and calling me Mommy and smiling at us. That really warms my hear. OK, I'm about to burst into tears.

Big Ultrasound - Its a Boy.

We were there for about 45 minutes. Seeing the baby was unreal. He was head up, near my bellybutton, butt down near my pelvic bone and he had his legs completely over his head. The tech was laughing at this position. But then he brought his legs down and started kicking around. Mike got to see that. After she did all the measurements she turned the monitor so I can see. She showed me where his butt was and then pointed out the legs and I shouted IT'S A BOY! because I could tell right away from seeing other ultrasounds. Then she showed us a lot of different angles. There was one of his hands where it was cupped as if he was asking for something. She then showed us his foot and when the tech and Mike were trying to figure out what 3.5cm coverted to inches, I got my chance to see the baby moving around. It was kicking us a storm and I could make out his knees as they were moving up and down. Then he decided to moon us. He did a comple turn over and we ended up with a view of his spine and butt. He is measuring exactly at 20w1d. It was truly amazing and we are so in love. We ran some errands in the afternoon and during lunch decided on Aiden Michael for a name. Here are some pictures.
